Gratitude for Your Support: A Joint Thank you from ARCH2 and the Dept. of Energy

Dear Community Members, Partners, and Friends:

On behalf of the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub (ARCH2) and the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), we would like to thank everyone who came out and joined us at ARCH2’s first community open house event in Charleston, WV. The opportunity to meet with the wide array of attendees – including community members from across the tri-state region, West Virginia State University faculty, students and staff members, local leaders, and industry partners, among others – was an invaluable learning experience. The feedback we received and insights we gained will inform our path forward as we work towards realizing our vision of a clean hydrogen future for the Appalachian region.

We would be remiss if we did not recognize the many organizations and individuals that contributed to making the event a success:

  • West Virginia State University & Police Department (WVSU): Thank you for your hospitality, professionalism, and opening your doors to host our event. Your support enabled us to reach and share our mission with so many community members in the southern West Virginia area.
  • West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey Staff: Your collective expertise was critical in helping attendees learn about the history of subsurface exploration and carbon capture and storage technologies, which are critical to understanding the unique resources of our region.
  • Event Staff and Volunteers: The event owes its success to your hard work, dedication, and collaboration.

Together, we are building a brighter future for this community and the region. We look forward to many more opportunities to listen and learn from this community and others in the future.

Warm regards,

Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub
